Say ‘Wii!’ for First Quarter Games

In a recent press release Nintendo outlined its first quarter line-up of games and the first three months promise some some potential huge hits as well as some old favorites. Among the crop of big name franchises on the way include Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia Rival Swords in March, Sega’s Sonic and the Secret Rings, and multiple EA titles including Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07, SSX Blur, The Godfather Blackhand Edition, Medal of Honor Vanguard.

Nintendo also plans on bring more Wii-Sports-type action in the form of Wii-Play which will feature billiards, fishing and shooting range games. The game will be packaged with a Wii Remote.

The Wii Channels are also getting their share of love themselves as the New Channel will go live with global AP news coverage Jan. 27. Also Mario Kart 64 will become available over the Virtual Console next week.
