Pursuit Force Gets Extreme
To follow up on the successful PSP title Pursuit Force, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and Bigbig Studios have announced the sequel Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice – coming to both PSP and PlayStation 2 this summer.
Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice follows the Pursuit Force as they are called upon again to save Capital City gangs are running amok on the streets. The Convicts (the prison-breaking crew) and Warlords (the power hungry political influencers) return for another round of action as well as the new Raiders gang and The Syndicate. The Raiders are described as “professional Raiders, specialising in striking hard and fast and staging ambushes.” The Syndicate on the other hand are “professional bank robbers looking to steal anything of value…by any means possible.” Gangs are the only concern as a new heavy handed rival arm of the police, the Viper division, for the Pursuit Force to contend with debut in the game as well.
However, the Pursuit Force are not without their own tricks. With faster and larger vehicles to jump between including gigantic tanks, trains and even the wings of an aeroplane in addition a bike and sidecar, jet skis and a hovercraft to ensure the Pursuit Force stay one step ahead of the criminals, the vehicular variety is pleasing to look forward to seeing. The in-vehicle and on foot combat is seamless and Sony promises mounted high-caliber weapons action that help maintain Hollywood action feel.
A “Justice” bar allows the chance to replenish health and Extreme Justice Division recruits Sarah, Gage, Ash and Preach offer a air support, high speed chase help, special ops, and heavy assault back-up for the player.
Multi-player options include four player Wi-Fi for the PSP and two player split screen action on the PS2.
We’ll bring more information on this summer release title as it becomes available.
